Money matters to me~

Never thought that I'll get my allowance before going back home.

Usually, if I get my allowance I'll be the happiest person in the world!
and no, not only me, all 52 of us will be the happiest creatures in the world ..
but I wasn't really that much excited. Maybe because I was soo sure that our next
allowance will only be given on June, and -
I had already accept the fact that I'll go back to Malaysia with just
a pound in my pocket- BUT!
but the allowance is given a month early! Good!.. really?

It's good because
now we have extra money to buy presents and gifts to our family and relatives in Malaysia,
and plus, I'm not sure if I'll be going back home next summer,
so.. if I don't get you a present now, you'll have to wait for  2 more years...
geezz..I don't know why, but I'm excited to buy everyone a gift.
I've been getting a lot of nightmares of me going back to Malaysia but forget to buy a present,
or me going back to Malaysia but left all the presents under the bed!

Sometimes, having so much money in your account can be quite troublesome.
Especially if you like to spend money on 'weird-weird' things like me.
and you have your own so-called 'credit card' with you
and you have eBay, Amazon
and whatever online rubbish they try to sell to you..
I can't... I can't resist the temptation!!

I want to organize and plan my expenses so
I won't be wasting it on Kens fried chickens, Peter Pan plushie,
or Tokio Hotel guitar pick necklace.. (and other random things..)
but I am horrible with calculation and HATE to keep checking on my money,
it's just so scary to see the decreasing numbers..lol

I think the allowance we get is more than what we deserve.
Yet, we still complain and hope for more.
But really, I think;
the more we get, the more we waste..
so... I don't know.. just try to be wise when spending..?

Almost wanna buy this on eBay,
luckily I'm moving out!

I really want to hire Mimi as my personal financial.. or finance (sorry, which one is right?) helper.
She seems so good with math and money.
If I tell her this, she deff' think I'm joking but really, I'm damn serious.

My love-hate relationship with Harry.

Nein, it's not Harry Potter, nor Prince Harry.
It's Harry Law, my hall.

Now, I'm counting days to leave this place. I realize I can go back to UK
but I can't go back to Harry Law.

I read a student article on the web and s/he said that it's either you get a 'stupidly' small room or 'stupidly' massive room if you're in Harry Law hall. It's a matter of luck.
Well, I guess I got myself a 'stupidly' massive room cuz I'm a 'stupidly' lucky person, yay!

The writer also mentions the Bateson hall, our neighbor,
s/he said that Bateson hall is just the opposite of Harry Law so the students can throw each others a paintball or something.
What??!! That's not true, we; Harrys and Batesons- are best neighbors,
We laugh at each other when one of us gets a fire alarm in the middle of the night!
seee... we're 'good' friends.lol

Well, anyways.. I'm just so sad thinking that I won't be staying here again for the rest of semesters.
I'll be staying in a house with my friends, which is good cuz
I'll get to eat proper food and I won't be so lonely anymore.
Plus, it's much safer and a lot more quiet.

But to say goodbye to super-duper fast internet connection,
free heater, free electricity and my own bathroom...
*sigh..

Harry Law might not be the best hall in Pompey,

soo crazily noisy on weekend nights,
robbers broke into student's room (wth?)
countless false fire alarms and a few real fire alarms.
dirty corridors, wild parties, stupid pranks
drunkard wondering at other people's corridors
and ect, ect..

But I still Lve Harry.
Because it helps me to get through my difficult first year.
It gives me warmth during the cold winter,
and shelter for rainy days.
I spent most of my time in my room,
so I am soo emotionally attached to it.
Though it's not perfect, but still. love it!

mm.. looks like now I'll be just watching you from afar, Harry.
my time has come, I can't stay any longer =(

Manga, Manga, Manga!

Why do mangas sold in UK are very very expensive?
it's like £8 pound per book,
and in Malaysia, it's usually RM8 per book.
but £8 is like RM40? so I can buy 5 mangas in Malaysia with that amount of money.
But then again, it's still so very expensive.
I mean who needs to buy manga these days?
You can download or read them online.
Or you can even watch the animated version.
So, why do people still buy manga/comic although they're very expensive?
Simple, because collecting something you like is soooo cool and fun.

I don't really know much about manga but
I do remember some mangas that I used to have when I was little.
Some reallly old titles like:

Doraemon

OMG, if you donno Doraemon, then you're not from this earth, lol!
Me and my sisters used to have a complete series of Doraemon, which we read more than 100 times. Whoever made this comic is a genius, this is the only comic in the galaxy that made me cry, lol.

Dragon Ball

Unfortunately never bought this manga, just borrowed from the boys in my class.
The best of the best! I wish today's anime is just as good as this one =(

Dr. Slump

I remember the character's name, Arale, but I couldn't remember the title.
But I remember reading this book when I was a child.

Dragon Quest

In Malay edition, it's called Misteri Naga. Pretty good story.

Hong Kong comic book

Remember the big comic with cheesy title? They're actually Hong Kong comic books.
They're pretty popular in Malaysia back then,
I never own them. But just putting them here to bring back memories.. =)

Old cartoons, old comics, old animes are just soo good. T-T
Modern mangas/ animes are nice too, but
I just don't really like the
complicated, sophisticated, super twisted storyline-
but yeah, just like handphones,
mangas have to evolve too.
