Money matters to me~

Never thought that I'll get my allowance before going back home.

Usually, if I get my allowance I'll be the happiest person in the world!
and no, not only me, all 52 of us will be the happiest creatures in the world ..
but I wasn't really that much excited. Maybe because I was soo sure that our next
allowance will only be given on June, and -
I had already accept the fact that I'll go back to Malaysia with just
a pound in my pocket- BUT!
but the allowance is given a month early! Good!.. really?

It's good because
now we have extra money to buy presents and gifts to our family and relatives in Malaysia,
and plus, I'm not sure if I'll be going back home next summer,
so.. if I don't get you a present now, you'll have to wait for  2 more years...
geezz..I don't know why, but I'm excited to buy everyone a gift.
I've been getting a lot of nightmares of me going back to Malaysia but forget to buy a present,
or me going back to Malaysia but left all the presents under the bed!

Sometimes, having so much money in your account can be quite troublesome.
Especially if you like to spend money on 'weird-weird' things like me.
and you have your own so-called 'credit card' with you
and you have eBay, Amazon
and whatever online rubbish they try to sell to you..
I can't... I can't resist the temptation!!

I want to organize and plan my expenses so
I won't be wasting it on Kens fried chickens, Peter Pan plushie,
or Tokio Hotel guitar pick necklace.. (and other random things..)
but I am horrible with calculation and HATE to keep checking on my money,
it's just so scary to see the decreasing numbers..lol

I think the allowance we get is more than what we deserve.
Yet, we still complain and hope for more.
But really, I think;
the more we get, the more we waste..
so... I don't know.. just try to be wise when spending..?

Almost wanna buy this on eBay,
luckily I'm moving out!

I really want to hire Mimi as my personal financial.. or finance (sorry, which one is right?) helper.
She seems so good with math and money.
If I tell her this, she deff' think I'm joking but really, I'm damn serious.

My love-hate relationship with Harry.

Nein, it's not Harry Potter, nor Prince Harry.
It's Harry Law, my hall.

Now, I'm counting days to leave this place. I realize I can go back to UK
but I can't go back to Harry Law.

I read a student article on the web and s/he said that it's either you get a 'stupidly' small room or 'stupidly' massive room if you're in Harry Law hall. It's a matter of luck.
Well, I guess I got myself a 'stupidly' massive room cuz I'm a 'stupidly' lucky person, yay!

The writer also mentions the Bateson hall, our neighbor,
s/he said that Bateson hall is just the opposite of Harry Law so the students can throw each others a paintball or something.
What??!! That's not true, we; Harrys and Batesons- are best neighbors,
We laugh at each other when one of us gets a fire alarm in the middle of the night!
seee... we're 'good' friends.lol

Well, anyways.. I'm just so sad thinking that I won't be staying here again for the rest of semesters.
I'll be staying in a house with my friends, which is good cuz
I'll get to eat proper food and I won't be so lonely anymore.
Plus, it's much safer and a lot more quiet.

But to say goodbye to super-duper fast internet connection,
free heater, free electricity and my own bathroom...
*sigh..

Harry Law might not be the best hall in Pompey,

soo crazily noisy on weekend nights,
robbers broke into student's room (wth?)
countless false fire alarms and a few real fire alarms.
dirty corridors, wild parties, stupid pranks
drunkard wondering at other people's corridors
and ect, ect..

But I still Lve Harry.
Because it helps me to get through my difficult first year.
It gives me warmth during the cold winter,
and shelter for rainy days.
I spent most of my time in my room,
so I am soo emotionally attached to it.
Though it's not perfect, but still. love it!

mm.. looks like now I'll be just watching you from afar, Harry.
my time has come, I can't stay any longer =(

Manga, Manga, Manga!

Why do mangas sold in UK are very very expensive?
it's like £8 pound per book,
and in Malaysia, it's usually RM8 per book.
but £8 is like RM40? so I can buy 5 mangas in Malaysia with that amount of money.
But then again, it's still so very expensive.
I mean who needs to buy manga these days?
You can download or read them online.
Or you can even watch the animated version.
So, why do people still buy manga/comic although they're very expensive?
Simple, because collecting something you like is soooo cool and fun.

I don't really know much about manga but
I do remember some mangas that I used to have when I was little.
Some reallly old titles like:

Doraemon

OMG, if you donno Doraemon, then you're not from this earth, lol!
Me and my sisters used to have a complete series of Doraemon, which we read more than 100 times. Whoever made this comic is a genius, this is the only comic in the galaxy that made me cry, lol.

Dragon Ball

Unfortunately never bought this manga, just borrowed from the boys in my class.
The best of the best! I wish today's anime is just as good as this one =(

Dr. Slump

I remember the character's name, Arale, but I couldn't remember the title.
But I remember reading this book when I was a child.

Dragon Quest

In Malay edition, it's called Misteri Naga. Pretty good story.

Hong Kong comic book

Remember the big comic with cheesy title? They're actually Hong Kong comic books.
They're pretty popular in Malaysia back then,
I never own them. But just putting them here to bring back memories.. =)

Old cartoons, old comics, old animes are just soo good. T-T
Modern mangas/ animes are nice too, but
I just don't really like the
complicated, sophisticated, super twisted storyline-
but yeah, just like handphones,
mangas have to evolve too.

'Cause none of us were Angels...

-There's a lot of things I still don't understand-

Kinda sad if you go watch any religious videos on Youtube, or read any religious forums, news, blogs.. ect,ect.. there's always gonna be a fight between people. People of the same religions, people of different religions, people with no religions...

It's good to discuss on the matter of religions, I mean, it helps to clear misunderstandings and stuff,
but some people are just soo immaturely rude.

If you go on any Hijab videos on Youtube, (even on videos like hijab wearing tutorials, ect)
There's ALWAYS gonna be some people randomly comment;

"Why do Muslim girl need to cover their head? I think that's silly"

and as usual, there will be hundred responses from
angry Muslims and then the other non-Muslims will also join the fight
and you will have endless comments of cursing and swearing
as well as Quran and Bible quotes~
on a video of a girl, giving tutorial on how to wear a hijab pashmina style.

What I'm trying to say here,
Why can't you be more mature and respectful?

I truly believe we need to respect each other,
regardless our differences in belief, religions, races, nationality, gender, age.. ect.
I mean, come on, 'discrimination' is so out-of-style
it's 2011, people! Why do you have to act like a bunch of primitive?

Still don't get what I'm trying to say?

I just don't agree the way some Muslim people explain on our religion to others,
like this one here;

"That's because it's stated in our Quran! don't mess with us, you better shut your mouth up!"
-Amina89
" I hope all of you who dare to insult Muslims will burn in hell, ha ha ha!"
- Islam4life990
"Get the f**k out of here, you non-believers, don't insult Islam, you f**kers, fs%Eg3v&%!!!!
-muslim_boy776

Aand..those are not real comments and real names but
they resembles pretty much like the comments on the videos.

Sometimes I just don't understand people; who declares to the whole world,
"ooh, I'm a real Muslim and I pray and I love God" and all that
but didn't act like a Muslim SHOULD ACT.
Come on, you should portray the beauty of Islam through your behaviour.
How are people gonna respect Islam if the Muslim themselves are so painfully rude.
I think if you explain them about Islam nicely and politely,
people are gonna respect you more, no doubt about that.

I don't think a Muslim who really obeys Allah
would even use the word F**k to scold the non-Muslim,,
no matter how angry s/he was.
hmmm...

I'm done with e-portfolio.
But why am I not happy??
I didn't do my best.. asal siap aje..
I wanna impress Susan but I'm just too 'unfocussed' to do anything.
I hope you don't fail me, Susan..
then we are not friends anymore =(

Less than 2 weeks to go back home.
I'm not ready!!!
Too soon, too soon!
why am I suddenly sooo.. not excited to leave UK?
I thought I really wanna go home?
I don't know.
I just hope for more time. pliz!

Maybe because I'm too lazy to pack my things?
maybe because I still wanna download more movies/dramas/animes b4 I go home?
maybe because I'm too sad to say good bye to my room?
maybe because I still haven't buy enough gifts and presents?
maybe maybe maybe maybe
I'm just falling deeply in with this place..?

why am I talking like I don't have to go back to UK again =_=
U think u have graduated is it........

I don't study, I just wanna have fun fun fun all the time
How do I call myself a university student? errk..I don't know.

I wanna go to Tamra Island!

I don't know if I'm the only one watching this drama,
I never heard any of my friends talking about Tamra island.?

Well, although I started to get annoyed with Kdrama, but this one grabs my attention,
maybe because there's a cute blonde guy in it.

You might wanna know, or you might not wanna know,
but I'm still gonna give the plot of the drama, tehee.

"Set in the 17th Century, Jang Beo-jin (Seo Woo) is a young female diver on Tamra Island. She doesn't particularly enjoy her situation and dreams of one day leaving the island. One day, to her shock, she discovers a young blond haired man laying on the beach. The young man's name is William (Pierre Deporte) and he is a shipwrecked British citizen. Another young man named Park Kyu enters the island under the disguise of one of the many convicts sent to Tamra Island. In actuality, Park Kyu (Lim Ju-Hwan) is a budding government official known as a Seonbi. These three young people then become involved in a hilarious love triangle."

I like the blonde guy, a lot! I think he is very interesting.

In this drama, he plays as the young English man who likes to travel and collect weird things.
But when we listen to him speaking, he doesn't sound very 'English'
and his accent keeps changing, sometimes he sounds American,
sometimes he even sound like a Korean trying to speak English.

And he speaks Korean better than he speaks English, lol.

Later, I found out that he's actually a French. Ooo.. that explains a lot.

I really like him with the heroin, I think they look extremely sweet together.<3
Too bad, he's not the lead hero, the lead is this guy:

Aaand as always, the lead hero will get the girl at the end,
no matter how arrogant and snobbish he is.
And the sweet blondie who's willing to do everything for the girl will go back home alone. =(

The story was nice, funny and mesmerizing,
with the sound of the sea, the tropical feeling of an island, love it!
BUT
I've stopped watching this drama after knowing that the girl will pick the Korean guy.
Oh, come on.. do something different once in a while...
let the girl be with the English boy!!

stupid script writer! <---- angry fangirl.

Sushi- (◠‿◠)

Whenever I feel hungry I always remember the sushi shop I went in Birmingham.
It's called "Woktastic-noodle&sushi bar."

I'm not a sushi lover, they're pricey, and not even filling.
and they taste just ..okay.

But it's definitely worth to eat sushi in this shop, because as you can see from their
flyer here;

They're Halal,
and they have buffet option, where you just have to pay, £11.99
and you can eat as much sushi as you want,
I repeat,
as much sushi as you WANT!
and because they're halal, that means there's no limitation only to veggie sushi..yay!

 in the shop..
when our sushi plates started to become a mountain...he3
Holding chopsticks just for picture purpose, I can't even lift an eraser with chopsticks =_=''.

They did mention that we are allowed to sit only for 75 minutes in the shop,
but I think this only applies during peak hours.
And they'll charge 75 pence (per plate) for unfinished food, so be careful when you choose the food, you have to swallow it all!

I was quite sad cuz only able to eat about 12 plates of sushi,
the others went as far as 20 plates..woahh~ bravo..
I get full easily, that's why I don't prefer buffet.

Since that day, whenever I feel hungry I just wish I could go back to this shop
and order buffet sushi again! ahhh~!!

iPod 5 and Rihanna.

I know iPhone 5th gen is coming out but never know that..
iPod 5 is also going to be released this September.

No wonder the price of iPod 4 is dropping down,
everyone is selling their old iPod to get the new one.

(But why September???)
I really like iPod 4 though,
It has camera, internet,
great games, great apps and video/movies players.

(even though.. I don't really understand why you need a camera on your 'mp3' player?)
(It's like.. why do you need a radio in your camera..
..or a video player on your washing machine or.. ect ect)

I guess everything needs to be multifunction and multipurpose today.

-iPod 4 is juz good enough, I wonder what things would they add to iPod 5.

 Rihanna's new song.

I quite like Rihanna's new song, -well, it's not that new, it's actually last year's song-
Before this, I think Rihanna is the 'princess of the annoying songs'.
I absolutely hate her songs, -'The only Girl in the World' 'Na na na..What's my Name'-
Soo annoying!! and my neighbors downstairs like to play these songs repetitively!

but her new song, California King Bed is soo nice! -the title is odd, I know.

Glad that Rihanna starting to sing 'a real music' back.
